Para o projeto do Parque do Mirante de Piracicaba foram propostas intervenções mínimas e estratégicas ao parque já existente, reafirmando a exuberante beleza natural da área. Através de uma série de ações de desconstrução e da orquestração de sistemas de infraestrutura natural, o projeto privilegia a interação com o rio e a floresta existentes, por meio de um sistema de pontes e passarelas leves. Aproveitando-se da encosta do rio e seus canais, propõe-se uma série de plataformas para usos recreativos, fazendo também desses espaços peças de um sistema de filtragem natural que irá limpar a água do escoamento antes de ser lançada rio abaixo.

The project for the Piracicaba River Park proposes minimal and strategic interventions to the existing park, reaffirming the site’s exuberant natural beauty, as it repurposes the area. Through a series of proposed deconstruction actions and the orchestration of natural infrastructure systems, the design privileges the interaction with the existing river and forest by creating a system of light-weight catwalks and footbridges. Taking advantage of the river hillside and existing canals, it proposes a series of platforms for recreational uses, doubling these spaces as pieces of a natural filtration system that will clean runoff water before it is released into the river below.
